Croft Ruins

40 minutes after sunrise the low sun is trying to beat off the lingering clouds. Much calmer day before more high winds and rain tomorrow. A touch of sleet this evening.  

I always wonder when I’m walking near old buildings what those who lived in these houses all those years ago would make of, in this case, the activity of Sumburgh Airport which is so close. It would also have taken the full brunt of last weeks gales as it looks out to the southeast.

In the extra we have a view over the Pool of Virkie towards the airport and Sumburgh Head.
