Cluster of cables

An Openreach engineer turned up today to find out why our new fibre connection wasn’t working. He discovered the fibre cable hadn’t been connected to the correct place on the pole by the last engineer- not very great tuition for the young lady that was training-  may need to excuse them due to the bad weather that day ! 

The blip perhaps provides another explanation - I imagine when the pole was erected in 1908 it would have looked very different as most of the houses it now provides with communication were not built until many years later - probably only 3 copper wires in these days.

I notice a jet heading towards North America has photo bombed the shot.
