Last Decenber half the drains collapsed under our newly refurbished house. Only just moved in, we had to move out again and the repairs cost thousands, happily insured. Over the weekend just gone we had all the same symptoms. Drains backing up, awful smell. You can imagine what we thought.

While we waited for John to arrive with his industrial jet squirty thing this morning, and his camera for filming the inside of pipes, we noticed that a spider, at least, had better things to do.

Happily the jet squirty thing did the business. Relief doesn’t come near describing it. Coffee was taken. Going out for the sake of it was done. Too much was spent.

Prophylactic jet squirty looks like a regular requirement in the future.
