red flower black gate

I was walking out of the front gate to get more shots of dew drops. And then I saw this very beautiful red flower right in front of a very black gate. The flowers are a kind of orchid which do not require any soil, water or even love. In fact, the more sun, heat and neglect you give them , the better they seem to do! Ya, sign you up, eh?

And then it dawned on me. I am leaving my house to find beautiful shots outside when in fact, I should simply slow down and enjoy that which is around me. It is so cliche and yet it never seems to sink - enjoy what you got! Slow down! Stop trying so hard!
