Writing neatly on a whiteboard is a skill that takes a little practise. Here, we have the obligatory jobs list that every English book deems important enough to include in the opening chapter.

This whiteboard belongs in the rickety old OTC porta-cabins, where I taught the Pre-Foundation groups. Nowadays (it's May 2009 as I write this), they've been tarted up a bit and include a computer and a projector. Back in April 2007 however, there were just four walls, a whiteboard and 22 half-dead students.
