Contrasts

Up early to drive down to Luton so as to be at P’s in time for the podiatrist arriving. It was all going like a fair for the first couple of hours with carers, podiatrist, hairdresser and a neighbour all visiting P in between which I was on a zoom call with a Board’s nomination committee looking at new hiring.
Once we’d got through all that I nipped over to Sainsbury for the first time (several more throughout the day!), made him some lunch, sorted the TV so he could watch the football, took the old TV and microwave to the dump, and hoovered the house.
Made some phone calls and paid the TV license fee but pleased to find that he seems to have had the financial assessment finalised so I may not need to have all the hassle of finding and printing statements and invoices etc….phew!
All day I was boiled alive….wearing clothes that were too warm and with the heating on full I could hardly function so sat in the kitchen with the windows open for a while!
P was tired after all the activity this morning and seemed to have some abdominal pain so asked the Dr to call tomorrow.
Went over to K’s for supper and to meet Otis for the first time. He was a jovial wee chap (4 months old now) and it was lovely to see how well A&O have adapted to being parents. Chatted on about nonsense after supper for a while then back to T&Kt’s …whacked out!
