Beside the river…..

There is water flowing again in the reaches of the Taylor River near the Burleigh Bridge. Recent rains have recharged the riverbed shingles and underlying aquifer. This morning dawned clear and clean with golden sunlight. It was a good day for the mundane tasks of changing and washing bed linen and also Maisie’s blankets. The brisk nor-west breeze dried the washing in rapid time.
It is sad to hear of earthquakes in both Indonesia and the Solomon Islands.. Devastating for those communities.
