Remembrance and beyond

Today was the day of the Remembrance Day service which is held at Ely Cathedral each year. This involved some rather fine music and the poppy drop from the Octagon Tower after the names of former pupils and teachers who died in conflicts are read out. This was followed by me heading for the train station and taking a train to Sheffield for a Governing Body meeting. A slow train, but at least I had a seat. Meeting, and then out for a drink in Sheffield. Meal with very slow service. Back to the hotel.
