Fatal Passage

I've just finished this fascinating book, Fatal Passage by Ken McGoogan.  It's about Dr John Rae the Artic explorer who was from Orkney. It tells the story of his expeditions in the Artic region as an employee of the Hudson Bay Company and vividly recounts the endurances.
