St Margaret of Antioch, Iver Heath

Finally some time to catch up with Blip! I have been taking picture but not able to spend time here and I've missed it!!

This picture was taken whilst carrying out a queue length survey, the Church is on a very busy section of road in Iver Heath and the queues, whilst never really stationery, are horrendous at peak times! I don't think this church has a ring of bells but I can't ask the man who would know as he's fast asleep after a night shift so I'll have to update later!

St Margaret's church in Iver Heath was built in 1862. The east window of the church depicts both St Margaret's and St. Peter's churches because before 1862 Iver Heath was the northern part of the ecclesiastical parish of St. Peter's Iver. The window was designed by Martin Travers, a noted glass-painter and designer. The gilded reredos was also designed by him. The architect of the church was also responsible for Heatherden Hall, now part of Pinewood Studios which are very near here. South Bucks is so very busy compared to the north of the County.
