HMS Queen Elisabeth
The English ship docked yesterday at the same place as the German cargo ship Donau was laying on the same day 80 years ago. On November 26th 1942 Donau left Oslo for Stettin in Poland with 529 jews, men, women and children stowed together on board. They were sent from Stettin in railway wagons directly to Auschwitz. Only 10 men came back to Norway. November 26th is marked and commemorated every year.
