Comfort Food

It has been raining, windy and dark for most of the day. 
The bright spot  for the day was meeting  up for lunch with two of my friends, at the Bridge PH  in Shawford. Last time we were there we went for a good riverside walk afterwards, but no chance today! Instead we sat and talked. It was good to be able to discuss with  them  the  trials and  tribulations I have been facing with my Mother and her ongoing care. 
As we had had a good lunch, I didn't fancy much this evening; beans on toast fitted the bill.
