Bishnoi Woman

Today was our last full day in India.  Among other activities, we visited a Bishnoi village.  To quote my guide book: "The Bishnoi are among the world's most dedicated conservationists.  They hold all animal life sacred and have a long history of protecting the sacred kherji tree.  Visitors are sometimes invited to share amal, an opium preparation which is traditionally offered to guests."
