Whoo hoo!!

A dog walking friend has lent me a SLR digital camera. J is in the middle of a busy house build and says she won't use it for a while.

So here is my first try with it. Loving the clarity of this pic but I've got a lot to learn. It's a few years old and I think the newer ones have better screens. Having to use the viewfinder feels like a step backwards but it will be good for me to get reacquainted with the older traditional ways of taking a photo.. remembering about shutter speeds, depth of field etc etc and a lot of new things too.

Ruby was most willing to pose for my first blip with this and put on her best smile.
