Berries
There have been lots and lots of berries on my pyracantha hedge this year, the yellow berries being the last out. I've never seen birds eating them unfortunately. Another very wet day, albeit not as cold. I went into the garden to take a photo for blip around 3pm when the sun came out briefly. Another day of admin and shredding.
I contacted the original builder of the estate to try again to get some small wooden posts replaced on a small piece of land they own outside my bungalow (the existing ones are rotten after 25 years). After 8 months of trying through numerous phone calls, I rang and got the email for the Managing Director and explained the problem, attaching two photos. Within 3 hours he'd read it and via his PA emailed back to agree to my proposal that I get a quote for the work and if they're happy they'll reimburse me when the work is complete. Then I rang the person who made and fitted my gate and he'll do me a quote next week when he's doing work locally. It just shows that all the delays we experience are not necessary, they're just issues handled badly, adding to our and their costs.
