marking the completion of the bridge in 1754 , by the 33rd regiment under Lord Charles Hay Colonel. Part of the system of roads built to ‘tame’ the Highlands after the Battle of Culloden in 1746.
The trees looking suitably wintry now, snow down to about 900m, although overnight below freezing temperatures rose quickly to positive figures, remaining at about 5°.
