Green Veined White

I found this fella taking a breather in the birchwood in the southern washlands.

A breather from chasing his lady friend through the sunny glades.

Probably the last sunshine, without showers, for a day or so. The wind outside the shelter of the woodland is strong and cold, not a place for your average romantically inclined butterfly!

The lakes in the washland seem to have been a happy picnic place over the bank holiday. Shame they can't learn to take their empties away with them?
