Balancing Act

Balance is essential to me, and not just because of my star sign. But finding it can be difficult.

I read an article in Shutterbug today that said that more often now professional landscape photographers tend to crop to a square format, and it’s not just because of Instagram. It’s just, well, the images are more balanced. 

One more thing (and I am sure Ingeborg will agree) — crop to a square format and you’re more likely to fill the frame.
