A La'al lonnin at Kirkby Lonsdale
We needed to visit a supplier for some things for the Lodge and then the Kirkby Lonsdale Wildlife trust Support group had a talk on Beavers in Cumbria.
So after lunch, we headed for Kirkby Stephen. After leaving the supplier we intended to look for a blip but started with coffee. When we came out we were surprised at how gloomy it was so decided to abandon blipping and head for KL. A good decision! I had just started the car when the heavens opened!
A very wet trip down the M6 followed along with being stationary for 20 minutes - cause unknown. Once in K Lonsdale another coffee was called for. Then in the gathering gloom a walk round the town, it was getting quite dark . CC suggested phones would probably take as good if not better shots than the cameras.
There was still a lot of time to kill before the talk so we found a "tavern" (well it is described online as a tavern) for a meal and somewhere warm to fill in time.
We then found the hall where the meeting was being held. Extremely interesting.
