For years we have been trying to get the powers that be to introduce traffic calming measures in the village. All to no avail. This morning serendipity took a hand and caused a bus to break down diagonally across the main street. Success at last!

Extra. Meanwhile down on the beach contractors were busy conducting a major beach clean. During the recent floods the sewage works upstream in the town of Ellon were badly impacted. As a result thousands of plastic devices used in the filtration systems and covered in raw sewage were washed into the river  to end up on our beach. The inset photograph shows the offending devices.
