Puffballs
After a relaxed morning we took a drive over to Hartsholme Park. We walked along the path to Swanholme Lakes to look for fungi and anything else there was to be seen. As far as fungi goes there was not a great deal to be seen, but there were a few, including these two fresh looking puffballs on a leafy bank.
We saw various water birds, squirrels and a jay but could not get decent shots of them. (Well, I couldn't - Bri may have had better luck!)
After a good long walk around we went to get Burger King for lunch. We'd planned to go to the out-of-town one but instead took a gamble on parking being available in town since we were also taking some food back for Zeph and it would be less distance to take it. Fortunately we found a spot but it was only half an hour waiting. It was close to the restaurant, which was luckily not busy! Still no excuse for us jumping the queue, but that is what we did! Accidentally I might add - the young couple we went in front of were waiting well back from the counter where others were waiting to collect food. We apologised of course - I felt quite bad about it!
We ate ours in the restaurant and then ordered Zeph's just before we were ready to leave, making it back to the car two minutes late - fortunately no traffic wardens were around!
Once home I did a bit of cleaning. Now I can relax a while. Hurrah!!
