Finally!

Another day with zero motivation.

Another shock in the World Cup as Japan beat Germany.

Weather has been dreadful today, thunder has been rolling around for most of the day and the rain has been torrential at times.

Down to Cardiff in the evening as I finally made my return to the New Theatre, after a 3 year absence because of COVID.  Went to see the play Spike, about Spike Milligan during the Goon Show era, with my friend Helen.  We had a good catch up beforehand.

There was a bit of drama in the second half, as the lights went out on stage at one point and we thought it was all part of the play.  But then one of the staff from the theatre came on to say they was a technical fault and there would need to be a break.  One the cast returned they said that the theatre had been struck by lightning and it had tripped the lights.  We could hear the thunder during the play and it was very loud.

Got home at 11pm, but it was well worth it to be finally back at the New Theatre.

Today I am thankful for:

1.  Being back at the New Theatre, Cardiff and enjoying the experience of live theatre.
2.  My friendship with Helen
