Kestrel

I was awake quite early and went out for an hour or so before hubby was up and about. Even though it was quite windy, I was glad I went out as later in the morning it started to pour down and hasn't stopped raining since. 
This female kestrel sat on the lamp post for ages before finally making a dart for something. 

Back home I was doing some jobs so I can please myself again this weekend as hubby is away playing board games again. 
I am hoping for the promised change in weather as it is high tide day and I want to go to the Wirral to see what I can find.
