The Taylor River…flowing serenely…..

……… towards downtown Blenheim. This stretch of the river is in total contrast to yesterday’s image showing a view upstream of the Burleigh Bridge. There the river waters run in a meandering manner on wide shingle beds. Near downtown Blenheim the waters generally run from bank to bank slowly and serenely. Even further downstream the river is effected by tidal flows. We are so lucky to have long stretches of the river and it’s reserves available for passive recreation.
