On The Road

We left Neils and headed over to the sports field to watch granddaughter Chloe playing football. We arrived a fraction late and didn’t realise that they were 0-1 down already.
Freya had gone off with Janette to play at Walton so on a crisp dry morning we enjoyed watching Chloe’s team, coached by Barry, to come back and win 2-1. Janette and Freya arrived at the ground with Freya’s team having won 2-5.
A good morning for the girls.
Already at midday Mrs S and I headed off home, stopping on the A303 for some dinner. Disappointed that at what has always been our preferred stop to find that what used to be great home made food has been replaced with shop bought.
Onwards to home arriving a little after 6:30pm in a trouble free return journey, we were hardly bothered by the forecast wind and rain.
