My Liberation Day!
Liberation Day is such a special day for us in the Channel Islands, it is a rememberance of being Liberated from the Occupying Forces. A lot of activities are put on by the Island, most people go into town which we did for a time, we saw Uniformed people, the Chelsae Pensioners, War vehicles, and people milling about at market stalls and various displays, we took our grandson with us, then we had a picnic lunch. I just had to pop down to the Grande Pre as there had been a Spoon-bill spotted there and so this is the background of my collage, it is just stopping off for a feed and will soon be on it's way again, we finished off watching a couple of 'Surfers' Look Large for more detail as it's all rather small ;-)
Next we need to grab a quick bit of tea, and then go into town for a Grande Finale Firework Display!!
