Clotted Cream or jam first on Scones?
Some good friends visited for the day and it was fortunate that the weather was sunny and dry allowing a pleasant walk after lunch. Although they have lived in Devon for many years, they are understandably proud of their Cornish roots so at tea time I mischievously asked if they would be eating Scones the Devon way with the cream spread before the jam? It appears old habits die hard!
