I spent a little time with #1 Swan this evening (the one nesting in a friend's hedge at the edge of her garden by the canal) to blow the cobwebs away after a particularly long and hard day at the ... office. I think Swan must be used to people invading her space looking at her, as she seems to be quite relaxed. She was grateful for the dandelion leaves and grass I fed her and took them from me reasonably gently. Still no sign of the Cob, Mr. CJ, who has not been seen on the canal for a while. So sad, Something must have befallen him as he's normally around for the birth!!!

Must go and check on Swan #2 on the river near us soon.
