JIGSAW PUZZLING ON SILLY SATURDAY

Hello Lovely Blippers,

Hoggy here - I am being allowed to write to you all today because very soon, I am off to hibernate for the winter.  However, Mr. HCB told me that he has seen some little Blue Tits and Great Tits looking in the nest boxes in their garden, so I wonder if it really is winter?  I’m hibernating anyway just in case it gets too cold and staying here would be very silly.  

First of all, welcome to Elvis the Elf - who was watching us carefully as we were doing this jigsaw puzzle.  We noticed that Mr. HCB was scratching his head a bit last night, because he couldn’t find all the outside pieces, so we said we would help him.  

Mrs. HCB went off to a Family Craft Morning at their Church, so we decided that it would be a good opportunity to help Mr. HCB.  Mind you, not everyone knew what a jigsaw puzzle was, but we soon told them all about it.  Taz thought it was rather silly cutting a picture up and then putting it back together again - in fact, he said, “Why cut it up in the first place?”  So we explained to him that the joy of doing a jigsaw puzzle was finding all the different pieces, but he still said he thought it was a bit silly - and of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion.  Some of us were a bit concerned that we wouldn’t have enough pieces, but Mr. HCB has assured us that all 500 pieces should be there.  He said he knows this because their friend, Heidi, gave him lots of jigsaw puzzles and she isn’t the sort of lady who would have incomplete jigsaw puzzles - now that would be silly!

Mr. HCB is very pleased that he has a new jigsaw puzzle table and it's on wheels! Mrs. HCB said it was his Christmas present, but no doubt she will buy him something else, because it's not Christmas for another four weeks and he will have forgotten by then!

We know that Mrs. HCB isn’t very keen on jigsaw puzzles - she would rather be out and doing things, but Mr. HCB is quite happy to sit at home and do a jigsaw puzzle, and of course, if there is some football on the television, so much the better and we think there will be a lot of that in the next couple of weeks.

We think that Admirer would have been happy to see us all helping one another because it’s a good thing to do and that’s not silly.
