it's beginning to look a lot like ....

The High Street was closed to traffic today for the 'switching on of the Christmas lights'.  They've actually been on for a few days now, but have been turned off so that someone - presumably important - can turn them on officially.

There are various stalls up and down the street - food, charities, tat and live music.  The local cafes are doing a roaring trade.  

A few complaints from car-drivers about access, but most people seem to be having a good time.
