We had chilli con carne recently and Rowan has been asking a lot question about chillies. We didn’t know the answers. But we told her Grandad is a chilli expert so she drew up a list of questions and grilled him on a video call.

1. How many chillies are there in the world?
2. Why do you like chillies?
3. How hot can chillies be?
4. Why can hot chillies make you feel sick?
5. What is the hotest chilli in the world?
6. How many colours can chillies be?
7. How long can their stalks be?

Fortunately Grandad also has access to Google and Wikipedia.
