Musée de Balzac

I spent the day at a very good conference at the Maison de Balzac, about the influence of Balzac on the Goncourt brothers. (Here is the program). Enjoyed seeing colleagues and meeting some new people.

I'd never been in the library of the Maison de Balzac, on the lower level of the museum (shown in my photo). It opens on to a narrow, cobblestone street that felt very 19th century. Likely the exit that Balzac would use to escape his creditors when they came calling!

J did a 48 km ride all over the Bois de Boulogne.
