Changes
If you look back to my blip of November 9, you will see the striking difference between the images of the little garden then and now, when most of the golden leaves have fallen. I'm pretty sure that there will be only bare branches in my next photo.
I met up with Gena and Terri at the Whole Foods in Lynnwood and that turned out to be a good place for it, as there are a number of tables by the window and the ceiling is very high, allowing good air circulation. They are both looking good but admit to slowing down more than they'd like. A hike that used to take an hour now takes two, which means they're not able to visit spots they've ben able to hike to in the past because they have to be back home by dark. We talked about the trials of being an old person, in my case particularly about my memory issues, and just generally caught up. Now that we've found a good place to meet that's closer to their home in Mount Vernon, I think this will be our spot to meet in future.
Got a text from Lex saying they've arrived in Hawaii safe and sound. We are expecting snow and freezing temperatures. Envy, envy, envy.
