Tulips

There is a wild profusion of tulips in our front bed in the garden just now. Well, perhaps nothing like the amounts we've been seeing on Blip just lately in the tulip fields but more than we have had in previous seasons.

It is sometimes difficult to reconcile that all these different types of tulip belong to the same flower family. I love the bell-like shapes of the ones on the left hand side of my blip but this contrasts so strongly with the serrated edges of the tulip in the top right. Yet the variegated one in the bottom right has an incredible layers of petals.

The front garden bed is certainly in full bloom which probably means you might have to suffer a few more tulip blips before their season ends.
