Faded glory
This mansion was a talking point last evening and although I must have passed it in the car on numerous occasions I couldn’t place it. So, with raincoats on we walked the short distance to find it and to wonder how it would have looked in its hey day. It may have been a house designed by Thomas Ellis Owen who shaped much of Southsea in the Victorian era. Many of his designs are much sought after but this poor mansion has clearly been divided up, bricked up and is in a very sorry state.
