Out on a limb

JJ went off to football, which gave me the opportunity to walk wherever my feet took me.  Round the back of the pond, where the water was rushing down the gulley, along the second playing field, then trespassing along the bottom of the wheat field.  Then instead of going across the bridge over the ditch, I carried straight on.  I was fairly sure I wouldn't be able to circumnativigate the whole field and would have to retrace my steps, which turned out to be the case.

The magpie was sitting in what's left of an old oak tree, along with quite a few rooks.

I disturbed two buzzards and five kites at the furthest end of my walk.  No chance of getting any pictures because they spotted me way before I got anywhere near.  There was a large flock of black-headed gulls in the field over the ditch and I could hear a jay squawking in the local wood.

A dull day but not in the least bit chilly.

As for Photoshop and Lightroom.................  Definitely going to be a steep learning curve as I'm not blessed with much patience.
