The workings

of a defunct dvd player perhaps. I sorted the bags of litter collected last Sunday after having a very enjoyable walk on the heath with Indie. Glass, aluminium cans, plastic, & sweet wrappers, all separated, stored in the garage along with the TV, plastic crate, and this, whatever it is, drying out so that I can load them in the car to deposit at Newton Abbot recycling centre later in the week. Gave Mum a pedicure, then hair trim, then a coffee. Mum sorted her birthday flowers, removing the past sell by date, & titivating the remainder I checked her fridge, just to see what was in there. Nothing growing exactly, but chitting potatoes, a couple of dodgy leeks, & an onion. All binned.... I'm going have to be more vigilant. If only I could get Mum interested in more chilled meals, she only likes Coop lasagne.
Paid an early visit to the allotment, veg waste in the composer, then I lifted carrots & leeks, picked sprouts, fed Bobby Robin when he turned up for his breakfast. Walked up to town collected the newspaper, then back to base.
This afternoon prepped veg for dinner, made a couple of apple, sultana & walnut loaves. They're just out of the oven, roast lamb just gone in.
