Noun class
I met with my Swahili teacher Yusuf for the first time since rampant travels began in September. I am comically out of practice, based on a foundation that isn’t there yet. That is to say that the lesson was fairly basic and my response to the question of how my time in Mozambique had been was generally limited to the word poa (good).
Yusuf produced a sheet of hectic grammar, covering noun classes. It was truly baffling and he keeps threatening to teach me these. I think I need some more time on basic sentence comprehension first.
