Ricked
Here are a series of images taken today of harvesting grass at Tūmai farm park, near Dunedin, New Zealand. They are companion images to the one featured in my primary Blip account which I called ‘Raked’. I call this supplementary series ‘Ricked’, in part to pick up the hay theme, but mainly to resonate with Hone Tuwhare’s poem ‘Papa-Tu-A-Nuku” which refers to “massaging the ricked back of the land”.
The images are all Intentional Camera Movements (ICMs) where I have swept the camera (at low shutter speed) in the direction of the folds of the land and following the raked lines of cut grass.
