Sunset Prom
So, there I was primed to get cracking for the day in the form of getting m’boy ready for his football match, when a message comes through advising that that the game has been cancelled due to the pitch being a mudbath!
We changed tack and headed into town to pick up a few bits n bobs, which included a new pair of everyday boots for me (extra 20% off, people!) and some toys for the wee ones which they purchased with their own pocket money it was very sweet.
We had a nice roast dinner and then headed down to Heysham to meet LadyV and her girls for a walk/scoot along the prom. It was chilly, but it was nice to catch the sunset and to see the children playing so nicely together. We even managed to grab a few moments for a snuggle with a brew, and on a Sunday afternoon?!
All too soon it was time for us to get home and for me to get the wee ones ready for school tomorrow.
I feel like I’m saying this a lot lately, but: it’s been a cracking weekend!
