Elegy in a Country Churchyard

A poem I studied at O level, with the inspirational Mr Langley... so when I realised I had several hours to get from NEC to Olympia, and that Naomi was away (fool, why didn't I organise something with her weeks ago?), I decided on an impromptu visit to St Giles, Stoke Poges - the setting for said poem (also the birthplace of my "first love", Katie Humphreys, met at South & West Bible Week 1985). As it was raining I didn't search out Thomas Gray's gravestone, which was there somewhere, allegedly...
Hard work doing "breakdown" at Olympia, but pleasant journey back to Hereford, accompanied by Mary, my sales-person hero for many years...
