Chickadee

With all the snow we’ve had recently and the sub zero temperatures I finally feel comfortable putting out my bird feeders. We have bears (black and grizzly) where I live and I do everything in my power to keep them from coming around the house looking for food. Waiting until they’re hibernating to put out bird seed is one of the ways I attempt this. I say attempt because sometimes bears wait a long time to hibernate, and sometimes they don’t at all so it’s a real crap shoot. Buuut I love my birds (especially these little chickadees) so I suppose it’s a risk I’m willing to take.
Remember boys and girls, “a fed bear is a dead bear”. Leave your local wildlife wild.
