Net of the net casting spider

I've never seen anything like this before. I have blipped the net casting spider, holding its net, several times but I've never seen a lone net, not a spider in sight. Maybe the net has a little time of looking neat, before the spider picks it up between two of its legs, ready for casting, mucking up the neatness.

I am angry at me. I took three photos, then I decided to move a dead leaf, potential distraction (as if, with all the cropping one can do) and wouldn't you know it, the net was attached to the leaf and I wrecked it.

I can only hope that net casting spiders can start again without worrying too much. They are, after all, paragons of patience.
