1945

We went for a walk on Frodsham Marshes today to check the conditions for our walking group tomorrow. There can be serious puddles on some of the tracks but it wasn't too bad so it was a worthwhile exercise. 

On the bridge there is an inscription in the middle that reads German POW 1945. I have been meaning to blip it for ages and I remember looking up the story some time ago but I have completed forgotten what I discovered.

The iPhone photo itself is curious because the sky didn't look like this in real life and was rather flat and dull. Whatever happened I'm glad it made the picture more interesting and looks like a fancy ceiling
