If you go down to the woods today...

BOO!!! Ghosty mushrooms are about!! This did make me smile today as I wandered about a very grey and wet woods nearby and spotted it on a tree trunk.  I had some mail to post, so took a detour via the woods on the way home as I'd not been there for a while and very glad I did too! Always good for the soul

Nobody else was about so it was nice to spot a bit of birdlife - yellow wagtail, woodpeckers, jays, tits - and a healthy number of squirrels! And it wasn't as muddy as I'd feared after all the recent rain! Shoes are still drying off though!

Very gloomy day all day so that's helped me catch up on a few things - needed to keep moving to stop me wanting to sleep!
