Lit by the tree

I'm afraid that I didn't manage actual candlelight for today's Mono Monday challenge set by our November host Heanku.  Instead this sweet pair of angel wings is lit by the lights of our Christmas tree.  The angel wings were bought by daughter #1 to commemorate a friend who very sadly died a few weeks ago.

In other news:  Zeus09smum and I visited yet another garden centre where true to form they had a huge display of Christmas decorations.  There was rather too much brightness and glitter for our tastes, but we managed to purchase a few things and console ourselves with hot chocolate and coffee and walnut cake before returning home!
