On its last legs, but struggling on...

Today I used up some parsnips that were also on their last legs and made parsnip-and-chorizo soup. Very tasty! Normally I would make curried parsnip or spicy parsnip-and-apple soup, but didn't have necessary ingredients here. "Necessity is the Mother of Invention."
