Sarracenia

Today we visited the Winter Gardens  in the Duthie Park in Aberdeen. I love the markings on these insectivorous pitcher plants. The extras show more quirky gems. McPuddock, the frog lurks in one of the indoor pools and gives a great belch regularly as the water is recirculated to the top of the stream. The other extra shows the toilet doors, beautifully hand painted with Doric labels inviting in the Loons and the Quines.

It was beautifully warm in the tropical houses on a crisp, sunny, frosty morning.
