The Purple Iris

It was beautiful today, and I got out for a great walk around the neighborhood...so glad I did as the flowers are absolutely stunning right now. I especially liked the iris, as my parents and grandparents always grew them, and my great grandfather loved to paint them on wood. He made his own frames and lots of furniture too. I'm so glad I have some of his work.
