E finally has a family photo to take to childcare, just three weeks shy of the end of the year. Parenting fail. Lucky for us, he has a preschooler’s sense of time.

Day 3 of my week off - the day before my birthday - spent reading, and browsing in bookstores, and dropping off the school bag A forgot, and enjoying the sun while waiting for lunch, and reading some more, and dancing to some early 2000s classics, and collecting the kids, and eating gingerbread, and CLEANING OUT THE PANTRY!!!*

*is there a pantry equivalent of a floordrobe? If so, we had one, mainly because the actual pantry was overflowing, and one false move would have resulted in an out-of-date-food avalanche…
